Mr. Charles Alton Maynor, the founder of PAWSS Inc., was born and raised in Robeson County, North Carolina. He received his bachelor’s degree in Math and Science from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and his Master in Public School Administration from Appalachian State University. He had 20 years of experience in the public-school system working as a math teacher and school principal and serving on the Robeson County Board of Education. He spent more than four years serving in the United States Army and was a commanding officer. Mr. Maynor also had 40 years of experience in small business in the areas of retail sales, real estate and healthcare. He served on the Lumbee Guarantee Bank Corporate Board for 25 years. Mr. Maynor was married to his wife, Sheila Oxendine, for 50 years and they have three children.
